This is Tasha’s story.
Meet Tadda. She is the owner of her own fitness and wellness center #TaddasFitness in Decatur, Ga. We met two years ago for her very first #TransformationShoot with SHETHORO creator, Latoya (SHETHORO) as she was celebrating her 51st birthday. The theme was Fifty-WON 🥇. Her motto #NoMess she absolutely EMBODIES in person, in her everyday endeavors, in her morning fitness workouts with her crew and creatively. Last year, the theme for her 52nd birthday was: 52: I Love You 💕. So for her third transformation, it was important that we took it up a notch, and we did JUST THAT.
With this year’s theme, we wanted to bring her journey full circle. Tadda is a woman of MANY accomplishments, but she has also made it clear that her faith is the sole reason she has never wavered. God’s boundless grace and mercy kept her. It was important we not only curated a visual concept that represents GRACE & MERCY, but to also bring it home to a place where God’s work has worked through Tadda to provide others confidence, safety and wellness. I presented SHETHORO with the concept of “Fitness Couture Glam”. Do you remember the out of the box shoots on America’s Next Top Model? I wanted to pull an editorial style inspo for this shoot that would truly bring out the very essence of who Tadda is and her story. Traditionally, the video aspect of the transformation shoot is a BTS style visual. But this time around, we agreed that it was time for her story to be told a different way.
Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” With each look, we wanted Tadda’s strength to shine through. We also wanted to incorporate elements of her faith into this shoot: – Tadda’s upward gaze is a symbol of thanking God for 53 years- The crimson light symbolizes God’s sacrificial love- Surrounded by the tools of her trade (being able to shoot at her business, Tadda’s Fitness) Tadda’s dedication to her craft echoes the timeless truth: faith without works is dead.
