Hi, my name is Khadijah, and I aspire to change the world.

Writing has always been a great passion of mine, and throughout the years, I’ve been working on ways that I can further use that passion to give back to my community, as well as others who can benefit from having some day to day encouragement. Since I was physically able to write, I’ve been working on my own novels, shows and other forms of visual entertainment. It wasn’t until I got to college that I really acted on the idea of working in communications as a journalist. The thought alone was pretty intimidating – I was always used to writing very creatively, and free verse so to speak. With journalism, it’s a very different style and outline of writing. I would also have to work on communicating directly with individuals, which is also something that was outside of the ordinary for me. But, it was something that I really wanted to try and see if it was truly something I could see myself doing, and it is.

I realize that I love being able to cover stories that are directly related to people in some way shape or form. I love when something I write connects with someone else, and they feel some sort of inspiration from it all. So, this journey that I’m taking myself through, and hopefully the readers of this site, is going to be life changing. There will be mistakes, but there will also be lessons learned. There will be truth, honesty, and authenticity with every article or personal blog post that I write, and there will be moments that celebrate what it means to have a dream.
